The oak inside Potton's self-build showhomes.

For more than 20 years, Back From Black restored the exposed oak frame in Potton's showhomes at Caxton & Gransden, Cambridgeshire — the timber visitors saw first when they walked in the door.

A note on the link. Potton was acquired by Home@ix in 2025 and its visitor centre has since moved to Devon. The Caxton & Gransden show village this page documents is no longer run under the Potton name, so we've kept the record of this work here rather than send you to a site that no longer reflects it.
